How To Win

To win MeChat Universe 2023 Monthly Business Plan Competition you will need to submit your business plan by the 10th of each month to enter the next drawing. 

Use our business plan template to create a business plan that will convince judges:

2. How will your business plan’s success offer you happiness
3. How efficient does your business plan solve a problem.

How MeChat Universe Business Plan Competition Works

1. First, enter by signing up on MeChat Universe
2. MeChat Universe will provide with one fill-in-the blank business plan template with everything you need to win the competition and gain clarity about your business.
3. Our Judges will choose one monthly Antonio James, MIQ Grant winner and donate $100 to their business plan
4. You can CashOut your winnings anytime.

Of all winners March-November, three of the 9 monthly winners will be awarded an additional trophy and one will win this years grand prize business trip.

About The School

MeChat Universe is created to host an annual 2023 Business Plan Competition that guides entrepreneurs from idea through every stage of business ownership. 

Each phase of the monthly competition will build on the business plan from idea to startup stage creating and improving strategies for growth and sustainability along the way.

The contest links up-and-coming entrepreneurs with our network of community resources, expert judges, mentors and possible sources of capital.

As the top business school for entrepreneurs, MeChat Universe gives the next top entrepreneurs a place to come together and start something real.

March 1, 2023: Early Bird (Free entry. 1 per user)

July 3, 2023: Regular Entry ($25 per template entry)

Scoring Criteria

The ranking will be based on the viability of the venture.  Judges will rank each criteria based on 1-10.

• Impact of problem solved (total market based on a curved)
• Business idea and value proposition
• Internal and external analysis
• Target market / Customer analysis
• Revenue model / Financials
• Marketing / Promotional plan

To Participate

Step 1 - Signup on MeChat Universe and Attend a monthly Virtual Orientation Q & A Session  

The 1st requirement of the competition - attend a session for a review of the competition including how it works, the requirements, and the timeline.

Step 2 - Submit Your Business Plan Template by December 2023.  

The 2nd requirement of the competition - complete and submit an entry form to participate.

Official Rules

No purchase necessary. Both students and non-members can enter. 

Entrants must be at least 13 years of age. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

Only one entry per person and per e-mail address. Grand Prize Trip up to $3,000 limit.

Use the money however you want. the Same person can win only one time per year. The contest year will end with a Grand Prize Ceremony no later than December 4th, 2023. 

Participants agrees to let MeChat Universe publish his/her full name, logos, and other marketing materials on our website during and after the contest has ended. The winner will be notified by e-mail. If you win, you will need to provide a payment method to deliver your cash prize and provide a mailing address so prizes can be sent to your home or school. If the winner does not respond to our e-mail within 3 days, a new winner will be selected.

Duplicate entries in the same month by the same person by the same method will be disqualified.

Eligibility

The competition is open to any MeChat Universe user who completes their business plan template by the deadlines. 

• Must be a startup, early-stage, and/or growing businesses.
• Established business between 0-5 years old.
• Have an annual revenue of less than $500,000.

TEAM COMPOSITION

Students may participate as an individual or as a team; a team entry consists of two to a maximum of 5 eligible owners per template with clearly defined roles.

The only individuals who will have access to your written business plans are competition program staff, such as the judges.

Additional for-pay services

Option 1 -  Attend a Team Building Workshops

The 3rd requirement of the competition- join a team in September to complete team building workshops. If you don’t join a team you will not receive points for team building and leadership, etc.

Option 2 - Semi-Finalists are judged based on their ability to complete ”Startup Tasks”.

The 4th requirement of the Competition - is for semi-finalist to  provide verification of resources, marketing and industry research, LLC documentation, and more.

Option 3 - Finalists will meet with judges to perfect their plan for presentation.

The 5th requirement of the Competition is to virtually meet with judges in November to review your plan and get it ready for presentation.

Option 4 - The Finalists will get invited to pitch their plan live in person to the whole school

Option 5 - Build your business Plan in MeChat Universe:

1. Finish the idea
2. Create a Lead Page
3. Figure out how to market the page to sell the product
4. Cash out what you sell

By starting a business in MeChat Universe you can receive access to:

• Entrepreneur meetups and events
• Upgraded tuition
• Merchandise
• Expert strategy review and notes: Not all students will become finalist. However all students can receive a strategy session, for a free. If you become a finalist you will get this back.
• Competition Feedback: Once winners have been determined, results and feedback can be delivered to students so they may have a clearer understanding of the reasons why the winners were judged to be superior. However, while we encourage our judges to provide written feedback, it is not compulsory.
