Organization: MeChat Universe (HBCU for Entrepreneurs)
Role Type: Contract - Choose Your Own Hours
Program Length: DIY and 6 Months
Compensation: Commission Based, but Generates Revenue, Christmas Bonus, Curriculum Credits, Volunteer Hours. Promotion Advancement Available. $100,000+ in annual compensation for high achievers.

The Opportunity
MeChat Universe is the ultimate training to become a successful entrepreneur.
Our HBCU provides founders with an entrepreneur apprenticeship in an Entrepreneur Cooperative.
63% of entrepreneurs consider networking essential, yet many entrepreneurs lack access to these opportunities. Many more entrepreneurs struggle with isolation, lack of resources, and difficulty securing funding. Our HBCU provides a dedicated platform where entrepreneurs can learn, plan, and then connect their plan to the resources, networking opportunities, and support entrepreneurs need to succeed in their ventures. By joining our HBCU, entrepreneurs can form strategic partnerships, overcome startup challenges, ask difficult questions, gain market exposure, and receive essential feedback on their ideas. With MeChat Universe, entrepreneurs finally have a structure place to grow and succeed faster, and many times cheaper than starting a business on their own.
Key Responsibilities:
Examples Projects You’ll Be Doing
- Craft and execute a business plan
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for your business idea.
- Proof of concept: Create a demo or prototype (MVP)
- Income: Validate your startup idea
- Understanding Entrepreneur Life: Learn the average day-to-day of entrepreneurs
- Team Leadership: Help locate and hire new members of our team, to include: Recruit, hire, and lead a team to advance your vision.
- Collaborate with the Student Media team to create effective promotional campaigns.
- Internship: Partner with a founder at an early-stage startup, or experiment with your own entrepreneurial projects and initiatives
- Provide regular reports on market performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
- Build a financial model for a prospective venture.
- Run experiments to validate a potential business idea.
- Complete a pitch and/or presentation deck.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute development strategies effectively.
- Partnership Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing platforms to onboard their users to your network, in return for XYZ.
- Budget Management: Oversee the department’s budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet financial objectives.
- KPI Achievement: Set, monitor, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to onboarding and growth.
- Craft repeatable technical content such as white papers, playbooks, and how-tos
- Organize and attend networking events: to include workshop, festivals, and seminars to increase brand visibility.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Willing to use CRM software and other relevant tools.
Location:
All work will be done fully remotely.
Compensation:
This is an educational position. However there are commission-based opportunities, with earnings directly tied to performance and growth achieved during the program.
