Jessica Alba, the 39-year-old famous American actress and the co-founder of The Honest Company, recently broke the news that her father, Mark Alba, has thyroid cancer. But, instead of being sad and down, she and her father both revealed the news in a very lighthearted manner through a TikTok video and took an optimistic approach to this sad news.
Jessica Alba is a renowned Hollywood actress and the co-founder of The Honest Company which sells a collection of household goods, diapers, and body care products. Her father, Mark Alba, holds a real estate company. Last Sunday, she revealed the news to her followers on Instagram that her father has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. But she didn’t seriously issue this news at all. Instead, she shared a TikTok video of her and her father in which both of them are dancing. The pair was dancing to Obzesion's "Mi Trokita Cumbia" and was grinning throughout their performance, thus, radiating positive vibes throughout the video. Even her caption and hashtags seemed to be glowing with positivity. She announced in the caption by writing, "My #papasito is about to SLAY #thyroidcancer". Her father is about to start his radiation therapy on Monday. And she even cheered her dad by writing, "#LetGo" and "#YouGotThis". Moreover, her father has recently recovered from Covid-19. For someone, who has just beaten the Covid-19 only to get diagnosed with thyroid cancer afterward, it could have been a disaster. But still, Mark Alba is staying positive and his daughter is providing him with great support. Jessica Alba is herself a mother to three children: two daughters, Honor (12 years old) and Haven (9 years old), and a son Hayes (3 years old). Jessica Alba is married to Cash Warren, the co-owner of Verso Entertainment and famous American actor known for his work in Fantastic Four (2005).
When Jessica Alba opened up about her father being diagnosed with thyroid cancer, her Instagram was bombarded with wishes and prayers, instantly. Not only her followers wished her and her father, but even famous stars' friends wished them too. Sharon Vonne Stone, famous American actress, producer, and former fashion model, wrote, “My dad beat esophagus cancer. You guys can do this, family love”. Gabrielle Union, an American actress, voice artist, activist, and author, commented, “You've got this @markalba”. Mindy Kaling, an American actress, comedian, and author, sent love heart emojis. Rachel Zoe, an American fashion designer, businesswoman, and writer, and Vanessa Bryant who is the wife of the late basketball star Kobe Bryant, sent love heart emojis as well. Apart from that, a fan wrote, “I just went through thyroid cancer this summer. Full thyroidectomy in July and radiation therapy in August. You can do this, sir! My family and I will be thinking of you”. Such love from their fans and friends would surely have added to their positive energy and hopes. It was really an emotional moment for the family.
Moreover, Mark Alba’s real estate company’s team also added to the great love and support by posting on Instagram. It was his team who revealed that Mark Alba had recently recovered from Covid-19.
“It’s about to get real personal. So, bigger things than business have been going on in the background”, the post read, “As a family and a team we have been dealing with health scares and some of us have had Covid and recovered.” So, they revealed that some of their team members including Mark Alba just recovered from Covid-19. The post continued as, “Mark, in particular, has battled Covid-19 and thyroid cancer (the reason he’s showing off his new neck scar) in the past few months, with some radiation on the way soon for healing.” Moreover, the team even praised Mark Alba for being such a positive and strong man, as it was written, “He’s positive and feeling great right now. It takes a lot to keep Markdown.” In the end, the team wished its captain the best of luck by saying, “Wishing our team captain ALL THE BEST as he takes care of his health in these next weeks.
