Former football player, Dale Moss’s break up with Clare Crawley, The Bachelorette, has been the most discussed topic of Hollywood gossip, these days. Now the breaking news is, Dale has finally opened up about breaking up with Clare and taking a mental health break, in an emotional 11-minute Instagram live video, on January 30.
Dale Moss and Clare Crawley both are The Bachelorette stars and had been dating for two months. Yes, you read that right, just two months. Dale proposed Clare an episode of the ABC competition late last year, but he broke up with her just after two months. Some fans are just sighing at such a short-lived relation but some are criticizing harshly and saying why he proposed in the first place if he wanted to break it up? Well yes, this is the right question. Dale didn’t say anything after confirming the split. But, now, he has finally opened up and it looks like he had to open up to defend himself against the ongoing criticism. From his standpoint, people think that he’s not hurt or he’s not as much hurt as Clare is. Moreover, fans are accusing him of cheating on Clare. Now that seems the right time for Dale to open up, as he said,
“I know a lot you all have seen me smile on social media and say I don’t seem as hurt or burdened by this…”
He then went on saying, “But that’s the farthest thing – like, this time sucked. Thank God I have the friends and the family that I have because they’ve had to carry me through the last two-plus weeks.”
Well, that clearly states that he’s hurt as well. And that’s the reason he needed a break from the ongoing situation and an emotional reset for which he decided to go to Sarasota, Florida. Moss stated,
“I was like, I need to get out of the city. I'm huge on the environment – I think environment makes such a big difference. But I flew down to Sarasota.
“Next to South Dakota, this is the closest place to home for me.
"Like, I remember even after my mother's memorial service, I flew down here the next day, just to pray, and it was a really special spot for us.”
It does look like things have been very hard for him and all that accusations of being a cheater must have had hurt him. He felt a need for mental health break and took a trip to Sarasota. Apart from that, he also said that people only know what they hear. According to him,
“Like every relationship, we’ve had our ups and downs and you know, have gone through our things but you know the statements that came out – like, this didn’t come out of nowhere.
“People will spread lies or always want to point the finger but the fact of the matter is, there’s no one person to blame in this situation.”
But why indeed he had to break up with Clare? The exact and real reasons behind ending a newly formed relationship are still unknown. But, it seems that he wasn’t ready to settle down with children and a family. He shouldn’t have proposed in the first place, that’s what the followers think. But it is indicated that he didn’t know he would do it and it is just he found it difficult to build the relationship. He stated,
“Building a relationship, in general, is tough, especially when you’re doing it in the public eye.”
‘Public eye’, eh? If you ask me, that’s where people need to understand something about privacy or private & personal life. Being a star or celebrity is never easy. Every action, every word coming out of their mouth is questioned and becomes gossip. Yeah, fans love their stars so much that they care about every part of their life. It is also necessary to provide them personal space.
In his 11-minute video, Dale explained how he’s feeling and why he needed an emotional break. He has been having post-breakup stress and needed relief. But now, according to him, by the great support of his family and friends, and by visiting his favorite place, he’s healing.
“There's just something special about it that eases a lot of stress and burdens”, he said.
Apart from that, he also tried to tell his followers that he did want this relationship to work and he did try hard. But if it is ending, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t respect Clare anymore, as he concluded his video speech by saying,
“I love Clare and respect Clare enough to let her know how I feel, even if that’s against the expectations of everybody else, and it’s gonna take time…
“I wanted nothing more than to make this relationship work, and I put my heart and soul into it every day…
“And I wanted nothing more than to build a healthy relationship.”
